The new Headquarters of the prestigious Made in Italy “TWIN SET – Simona Barbieri” fashion company is yet another example of the exploitation and recovery of the existing building heritage. The new Twin-Set headquarters are in fact the upshot of the transformation of an anonymous industrial building of the ‘70s.
The project, designed by the firm BP Architects and implemented by AZA consists in seismic upgrading and the complete restructuring of about 8,000 square metres of existing shed premises and in building a new office block covering about 7,000 square metres which embraces the building on two sides.
The façade consists of storeys of successively out-jutting glazing with excellent energy performance standards thanks to copper brise soleil poles. Throughout the building great care has been given to aspects tied to the quest for comfort and energy efficiency.
